What we Believe

About God

There is one God who exists in three persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. God is all powerful, all knowing, and ever present. God is the Creator of heaven and earth. All things were created by God and for God.

About Jesus

Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man. Jesus came to earth to show us the way to God. He lived a perfect, sinless life in order to offer Himself as the necessary sacrifice to pay for the sins of the world. Jesus died on the cross but rose from the dead three days later to defeat hell, sin, and death.

About the Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity. The Holy Spirit was sent to earth to convict the world of its sin and empower the church to live missional lives. The Holy Spirit distributes spiritual gifts to Christ followers to be used to honor and glorify God. The Holy Spirit provides the power for daily living, the discernment to make decisions, and the insight to understand and apply the Word of God.

About the Bible

The Bible is the written Word of God. The Bible was penned by men under the inspiration of God and is without error. The Bible is the final authority in matters of faith and life.

About the Church

The Church is the body and bride of Christ and Jesus is the head of the church. The church universal is comprised of Christ followers with the local body of believers meeting to meet the physical and spiritual needs of their communities. The testimony of the body of Christ is manifested in observing baptism by submersion and communion.

About Mankind

Although man was created in the image of God, Adam and Eve introduced sin into the world by disobeying Him. Sin affected man’s ability to live a life in harmony with God and instead created a chasm between God and His creation. Humanity on its own does not have the ability to restore their relationship with God.

About Salvation

Salvation is a gift from God. Salvation is God’s means to restore the broken relationship between Himself and humanity. The cost was extreme as it cost God His one and only Son, Jesus Christ, who died on the cross. Salvation is the grace of God and is obtained through faith alone. Our salvation brings us forgiveness and freedom from the penalty of our sin.

About the Christian Life

As Christ followers, we should aim to live our lives for God rather than ourselves. Our identity in Christ is based solely on our relationship with Him. However, His love for us draws us to know Him more intimately by reading and meditating on the Word of God, conversing with Him in prayer, and actively participating in His church.
